Unbroken Chain
This is was one of "better" Unbroken Chains. Although it really pains me to hear (as when I saw it live) Jerry's inability to solo on the solo section. While the time does switch to 5/4, and the chord changes are more jazz oriented, it is not hard to solo on. But you can barely hear him string more than a 2 or 3 note run together.
When I saw this tune I was embarrased for the band. They were all standing aroung waiting for Jerry to snap out of it and he never did. I saw 200+ shows, but really don't remember any specifics from '93-->'95, except for the last Shoreline show I saw when they played Unbroken Chain. Unforunately I remember that for all the wrong reasons.
BUT...I still miss this band!!!!

the 95 Run
i enjoyed this night more than the april 1st night.the guys are right on and tight."that same thing" an old Pigpen song,i havan't heard in years, was cool."Eternity" has got a jazzy sound, the new direction Bob was heading to and is kinda like his new style now.Jerry's vocals and gitar playing like on Shakedown Street and Crazy Fingers were beautiful.the high light of the night,Wharf Rat and ending the night with a nice cool "Unbroken chains".thank you Greg Holtz for this Memphis-Pyramid show.this is a good sound quality show to go with a great 95 concert.
